Ford is all set to unveil a one-of-a-kind special edition Ford Mustang and donate it in order to pay tribute to NASA. This is being done in order to support EAA’s youth aviation programs. This special edition vehicle is designed on the grounds of NASA’s Apollo program, which was successful in sending and returning men to and from moon.
Ford has been committed to EAA for a long time now. This has been the eighth time since Ford has built a vehicle inspired from aviation. This special edition car has been designed by the design team led by Melvin Betancourt, the design manager of Ford. The vehicle has a black and white colour scheme along with United States lettering. In addition to this, this special edition Ford Mustang is a full aerodynamic package comprising of a front splitter, unique alloy wheels, large rear wing, and red mirror caps.
The interiors of the vehicle look astonishing housing the special seats comprising of Apollo badges. Other than this, the colour scheme has been decided in such a manner that it complements the exterior of the vehicle. This vehicle has been one of those creations by Ford that left everyone showered in the feeling of patriotism. Such efforts inspire other companies to build something of this sort too.
Edsel B. Ford II, a member of Board of Directors of Ford said that the company salutes the greatest technological event in mankind by building a vehicle inspired from the space mission of Apollo. The details of the car are not yet out and are expected to come by July 23.
