The first official images of the much awaited next generation BMW 7 Series model were recently released by the company. The car is expected to be rolled-out in the Indian market next year, followed by its introduction in the company’s major foreign markets in the second half of the current year.

However, unlike the new age versions of most of its competitors like Audi A8, the new 2013 won’t be based on any new platform. The major changes at the exterior include new headlamps with full-LED treatment; new fog lamps with additional chrome treatment, newly designed and differently positioned turn indicators at the outside rear view mirror, etc.

Inside, the car will be hosting a number of upgrades including new front passenger leather seats, optional individual seat for the front passengers, optional Bang & Olufsen High-End Surround Sound system, and front display screens incorporating new 3D graphics, new iDrive system, etc.

The BMW 740i model will now be carrying xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system, which was earlier not available with this car. On the other hand, 760Li model will remain the top end 7 series model with 6.0-litre Twin Turbo V12 engine. The company has incorporated a number of enhancements in the engine units of 740Li and 750Li models, offering better performance and higher efficiency.
