      New 301 sedan to be the first Peugeot portfolio car in India

      PSA Peugeot Citroen, the second largest car maker in the European market, has indicated that it will be debuting in the Indian market with launching new Peugeot 301 sedan in the country. The company had recently said in an official release that the firm has developed a family car that will be suiting all type of weather conditions and even the poor road conditions.

      The car will be rolled-out in both petrol and diesel versions in India including three engine options. The petrol version of the car will be offered in two engine options including a 1.2L and a 1.6L engine. On the other hand, the diesel engine will be offered with a 1.6L diesel engine. Both versions of the new Peugeot 301 will be carrying option to choose from manual and automatic transmission versions.

      With an overall length of 4.44 metres, the new Peugeot 301 sedan will be carrying a boot size of 506 litres and wheel base of 2.65-metre. The car will be first launched in Turkey, followed by its launch in a number of other European markets. In India, we can expect the car to debut by year 2014.

      It is to be mentioned here that the company will be producing this car in Vigo (Spain), and it will be the only second car after the 208, that will be carrying new 1.2L VTi, 3-cylinder petrol engine. The car will be showcased at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
