The long wait of the car enthusiasts around the world is over, as the South Korean auto giant Hyundai on Wednesday released the very first images of the new generation Hyundai i30 model to the world. The car will now be displayed at the next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Hyundai i30 is a premium hatchback that has been appreciated by car lovers for its unique designing and styling.
According to company, the new age Hyundai i30 will be building on the success of the previous generation i30 models in the global market. The i30 hatchback was the first model of Hyundai that was launched with the prefix ‘i’.
The car was first rolled out in the European market from the Czech Republic based plant in the year 2007 and since then, it has been one of the most popular premium hatchbacks in that market.
Since its launch in the world market about four years back, the sales of Hyundai i30 model have been increasing year on year. In year 2010, its sales stood at 115,000 units in Europe, the highest yearly sales of i30 hatchback witnessed by the company in a single year. So far, Hyundai has sold more than 3.5 lakh units of this car in the European market.
However, the car is not expected to make its debut in the Indian auto market in near future, as both ‘i’ series models including Hyundai i10 and i20 are performing considerably well.
