Maruti Suzuki Autocross 13th edition that was recently held in Delhi-NCR as a three day event had witnessed over 200 participants who participated in various events across categories. Over 80 drivers have competed against each other in the final round that has been spread across 2.2 Kms. The event was open for all manufacturers in the country and encourages motorsports in the country.
At the event, speaking more on the success of the event Mr. Manohar Bhat, Vice President, Marketing, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Maruti Suzuki Autocross has become the place where aspiring racers put their driving skills to the test. We are overwhelmed with the warm welcome we get in Delhi-NCR each year. In its 13th year, Autocross has given unparalleled rallying experience to participants year-after-year. This year’s rally saw the highest participation and we are thrilled to see the growing passion for motorsports in India.”
Some of the popular names that have emerged from the event are Fastest driver of Autocross Delhi 2014 - Phil Matthai, Fastest Lady Driver - Bani Yadav, and Fastest Amateur and youngest rider at the event - Arjun Rao. The winners at the event stood out with cars developed by Maruti Suzuki.
