      Yamaha launches R15 Version 2.0 in four new colors for India

      Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 has been hugely popular among the young crowd in the country . The 150cc bike carries a race track design that has been a primary reason for its success in the Indian market. To further add a style quotient for this power packed machine Yamaha has launched the R15 in four new colors - Raring Red, Invincible Black, Racing Blue and Grid Gold. The upgrades received are purely cosmetic whereas the mechanicals are the same as featuring in the existing version.

      The Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 bike is powered by 149.8cc, liquid cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve, SOHC engine that generates a max power of about 17PS at 8500rpm with 15Nm of torque output at 7500rpm. The powerful engine is mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Yamaha's Human Technology with a Delta frame and long aluminum swing arm gives a best rider position when the bike is in motion. For further added comfort to the rider the bike gets a Telescopic suspension for the front, whereas the rear gets a Linked type Monocross suspension. Speaking more about the new colorful R15 versions, Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President - Sales and Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. said, "It has been our hallmark to innovate and introduce products that have a strong connect with our customer base. The 'R15' has been a significant milestone in that sense in the company's history and the torchbearer to introduce and promote racing culture in India. The racing DNA, sporty look and superior technology have been synonymous with the R15 which was graded up to R15 Ver 2.0 in 2011. A lot of thought and hard-work had gone into the conceptualization of the R15 and it has been a huge success for the company. As we launch the R15 Ver 2.0 in 4 new avatars, we are again very confident that this new introduction will help to keep the customer excitement intact in our flagship motorcycle.”

      The Yamaha R15 in shades of Raring Red and Invincible Black is priced at Rs. 1,10,003 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and the bike featuring in shades of Racing Blue or Grid Gold will cost Rs. 1,12,924 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike has received single disc brake for the front and rear wheel. The Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 is compliant with Bharat Stage IV (BS IV) emission norms.
