Volkswagen managed to sell/deliver 4.72 million vehicles in the period between January to October 2012, a growth of 11.2 per cent over the same period last year. The company delivered 501,300 vehicles in October 2012, up by 16.3 per cent, as against 430,900 vehicles in October 2011. Volkswagen managed to attract a good number of buyers all over the world outside Europe.

The picture in Europe, on the other hand, remains difficult. The markets in Western Europe in particular demand our full attention. Here, the new Golf, Europe’s best-selling car, has got off to an excellent start with over 40,000 advance orders.”

The auto giant managed to lure a good number of buyers in American continents as well, with the total sales/delivery in North America going up by 25.6 per cent and that in South America going up by 8.9 per cent. The sale/delivery of Volkswagen cars in USA was up by a whopping 35.6 per cent. On the other hand, the company managed to achieve a slight growth of 0.6 per cent in Germany during this 10 month period.
