The 2.0L TDI diesel and 1.8L TSI petrol engine producing a maximum torque of 326 Nm is expected to be on the cards. Additionally, as diesel is cheaper than petrol, the diesel variant of the new Volkswagen Jetta can give its competitors a quick run for their money.
According to the opinion of the experts, Volkswagen Jetta can beat its toughest competitor Skoda Laura, which is going to be released by the end of August. Both these cars possess luxurious looks but little differences in their design and engine performance; can leave the customers puzzled in the selection. With the introduction of sports cars in the Indian market, Volkswagen Jetta fits completely in this segment with an unique design.
