Volkswagen already has Skoda Octavia and Skoda Laura in its kitty for the Indian market. Witnessing its success in the Indian auto market, it is not set to take on all the corners of the automobile market in India.
Volkwagen featured nine models this year at the Delhi Auto Expo in India. All the products are already successful in the overseas markets and now Volkswagen plans to mark similar success stories in India.
Skoda Fabia is already set to hit the Indian markets and VOlkwagen has already announced for bigger investments in India for its production line. “Up!” concept car is also geared for a commercial launch in India by 2012 along with its luxury sedan Phaeton.
Skoda shall roll out 15000 units from its Pune plant and shall launch Polo by 2010. Volkswagen shall also import Beetle and add to its product line in the premium category.
