Nissan Motors is all set to introduce breathable Vitamin C in its future car models. The air-conditioners in the car will pump vitamin C and the cars will also have stress reducing seats. "We want drivers to feel that they are healthier staying in the car instead of on the outside," a Nissan engineer said Wednesday at a test drive event outside Tokyo. The breathable Vitamin C has been developed by Sharp and it is claimed to moisturise the skin. The “easy chairs” incorporate NASA research that enhances blood circulation and relieves back pain during long drives.

Nissan engineers are also working on ‘friendly’ speedometers that can send reminders about upcoming birthdays, anniversaries or important events for the drivers. With the cut-throat competition existing among the automakers, Nissan’s move calls shows an increasingly innovative approach. "The emotional aspect of a car has become increasingly important as customer needs diversify," Nissan engineer Kenichi Tanaka was quoted as saying.

The car also features anti-collision technology which is similar to radar technology used by airplanes and ships. It monitors the speed and can prevent collision at forward speeds up to 60 kmph. The new technology is expected to be featured in upcoming electric vehicle Nissan Leaf.
