The UK based Morgan Motors Corporation, is all set to amuse the buyers in the rapidly growing Asian markets. The company announced on Thursday that it is all set to launch a unique three wheeler vehicle in the largest Asian market China. The company has said that the new M3W is a hand – built model which will be based on a 50 years old design and is uniquely framed in wood.
In a statement given by Charles Morgan, Managing Director, said, "Try to sell a Ferrari and you're up against Lamborghini, the Audi R8, Lotus, McLaren. He added, "Send a Morgan three- wheeler there and they'll know the difference."
According to the company, more than 20 potential Chinese dealers approached the firm in the current year, for this successor of a three-wheeler model that company had stopped producing in year 1952. The model has been priced at $39,000.
It is to be mentioned here that China is emerging as a major market for luxury cars as sales of this segment are expected to surge 39 percent in the current calendar year to 939,000 units, leaving behind world’s second largest luxury car market Germany.
In a recent interview, Morgan said, "Products that combine design and authenticity are very attractive to the connoisseur, and Morgan appeals to somebody who wants those real materials."
