In order to mark the tenth anniversary of Corolla Altis in India, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) introduced an all-new limited edition Corolla Altis Aero. This move from the company is said to be an attempt to boost the sales of petrol-run Corolla Altis, which has not been performing well in the country. With only 500 units to be built and put on offer till September 2012, Toyota is offering exclusivity to its customer with this new model. The Aero model is the perfect blend of fun, function and form at the same time and also renders sporty look to the Altis.

Corolla Altis Aero will be powered by the current J Grade 1.8 L petrol powertrain, with an option of Euro IV compliant variant. Boasting of new features and perfect aerodynamic design, the model is available in Silver Mica Metallic and Black Mica colour options. The limited edition model gets its sporty looks from the rear bumper beside the boot spoiler, which houses LEDs, and a restyled front end. Besides this, a new set of 7-spoke alloy wheels and chrome-finished exhaust tip adds to the changed looks of the new model. Providing premium touch to its interiors are the dual-tone seats embossing the Aero brand.

Deputy Managing Director, Marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, Sandeep Singh, stated, “We are delighted to announce the launch of the all new Corolla Altis Aero, on the occasion of, the completion of ten successful years, in India. Corolla Altis has become a very popular brand and has catered to happy and satisfied customers through the years. This is a limited edition that will provide exclusivity and newness to our customers. Its aerodynamic design and new features lends it a sporty appearance. It is a perfect combination of attractive design and powerful functioning.”

Though the company plans to launch the new model in petrol option only, it may consider a diesel option later if the demand rises. Altis Aero will come at a starting price of Rs. 11,47,748 (Ex-showroom Delhi) and is already on display at the official showrooms.
