As the country’s biggest automotive event 2016 Auto Expo is all set to begin soon, among the huge lot that shall be showcased at the venue the top five cars that are worth looking at are Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Volkswagen Ameo, Tata Nexon, Toyota Innova and the Honda BR-V. A detailed report on their specs and features would be known at the upcoming event.

Initially to be offered only in diesel option, the Maruti Vitara Brezza would be powered by a 1.3-litre Fiat sourced engine that currently serves the Ertiga and Ciaz in the country. As for the international market, a 1.5-litre petrol engine may be offered that could also make it to Indian markets sometime later. To begin with Maruti expects to sell around 10.000 units in the country every month.

The Ameo compact sedan from Volkswagen is all set for launch tomorrow in India. Anticipated to be priced around 5-7 lakh the vehicle would be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol trim would be powered by 1.2-litre MPI engine, while the diesel would be offered with a 1.5-litre TDI engine. 7-speed DSG may come later while now the vehicle may be offered with 5-speed manual transmission option. As for features it would be loaded with daytime running LEDs, Bluetooth connectivity and touchscreen infotainment system.

The Nexon compact SUV from Tata Motors has been spotted on test on a numerous occasions. The near-production model would be showcased at the upcoming Auto Ecpo event in the country. The five-seater SUV would be offered in petrol and diesel engine options. Detailed report on the exact engine spec is unavailable for now and may be known in the coming days. Going by anticipation, it could be priced around Rs 7-9 lakh. Apart from manual, the company may also offer an AMT option on the vehicle. As for features, it would be loaded with ABS, in-dash Harman music system and two airbags.

The Honda’s new generation of crossovers is all set to be showcased at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo event in the country. expected to be introduced sooner in the market, the Honda BR-V would be powered by 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine options. Apart from a smart and bold styling, the vehicle would also offer impressive handling and spaciousness like that of an SUV.
