      The calendar has changed and with the on-set of a new year, many leading carmakers in the country have announced their fresh offering for the country with their new fleet. The year ahead for the automotive sector looks promising with owing to launch of cars laden with modern technology. In this month itself the top four much awaited cars to hit Indian roads would be -

      Datsun Go+ MPV – The Datsun Go+ MPV has been one of the most anticipated vehicle that was due for launch and created a lot of storm last year when it was showcased at one of the popular auto shows in the country. The MPV is reportedly based on the Go hatchback platform and also shares the same 1.2 liter petrol engine but with a tweaked output. Pricing is expected to be the most unique aspect about this vehicle and may indeed shake grounds as it is likely to be offered at a price of a regular budget hatchback i.e. about Rs. 4 Lakhs. The bookings for the vehicle have begun and launch is expected on 15th January, 2015.

      Tata Bolt – This has indeed been due for launch for quite a while now. Tata Motors has finally announced that it shall launch its all new hatchback named Bolt on 22nd January, 2015. The vehicle shall be based on the new HORIZONEXT philosophy. The Bolt hatchback from Tata Motors shall be available with 1.2 Liter Revotron engine option as well as 1.3 Liter multijet diesel engine that have been serving the Zest sedan. The vehicle is likely to priced at around Rs. 4.20 lakh - Rs. 4.50 lakh.

      Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione – First glimpse of the Abarth 500 from Fiat was spotted at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo event. The upcoming Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione shall be powered by 1.4-litre MultiAir turbo-petrol engine. In the ‘Normal’ mode the engine generates about 158bhp and 201Nm, whereas, in the ‘Sports’ Mode it springs into action with 230 Nm of torque output. The powerful engine comes mated with AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) gearbox with manual override system. It is expected to be launched in last week of January and is likely to be offered between Rs. 25- 30 lakh

      Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class sedan – Mercedes Benz’s upcoming CLA-Class sedan is said to be the most affordable sedan that is offered with two engine options - 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel. Both the fairly decently powered engines have been mated to 7-speed twin-clutch transmission. The vehicle is due for launch on January 22nd and is likely to be offered at price ranging between Rs. 28 lakh - Rs. 30 lakh.
