DC Designs as a customization brand has always stood out for its stunning and innovative design philosophy. The Indian based custom carmaker has done it yet again with the Eleron and Tia concept cars. Both the cars were unveiled at the the recently held 2014 Auto Expo event in Delhi by renowned Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor. While talking further about both the cars, DC Design Founder, Dilip Chhabria, said, “We are looking to sell 500 units per annum of Eleron and and 1,000 units per annum of Tia after its launch in 2016. We have invested Rs 50 crore each for the production of the two models so far and are looking at further investments in the coming time.”
Eleron concept has been tailor made to enhance your SUV driving experience. The two doors is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that delivers about 269 Ps of power with 360 Nm of torque. The powerful engine is mated to a five speed automatic gearbox. As per sources, the Eleron comes with an all-wheel drive.
Tia, is a small car from DC Designs. Unlike traditional engine placement, Tia has its engine positioned at its center. As per sources, the car is powered by 1.2 Liter turbo petrol engine that generates about 122 Ps of power with 190 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 4 speed automatic gearbox.
Currently, both the cars have only been showcased. The production version may be launched in 2016. Speaking more about at the launch, Kareena Kapoor said, ““It gives me immense pleasure to be a part of such a remarkable launch. DC Design is clearly the most prominent and promising name in the Indian automotive design industry. Both Eleron and Tia are spectacular looking cars and are sure to create a buzz amongst Indian auto enthusiasts. I wish the team the very best for these car launches.”
