Call it an innovative publicity stunt or next-gen technology, Smart ForFour has earned its new identity as world's smallest mini-train that sported massive solid steel wheels instead of the regular alloy wheels in place. The vehicle was tested on privately managed Bluebell Railway through Sussex, UK, where some commuters turned out to be lucky as they got a chance to travel on this vehicle.

Under the hood, the Smart ForFour was powered by a 1.0 Litre engine. The engineers had to weld the aluminum support between the axles, to ensure that the wheels remain in locked position. The steering column also required modifications to handle the trip. The vehicle designed by Interfleet, UK-based firm who has been known to work with over 70 Tons weighing locomotives. The massive 22-inch solid wheels reportedly weighed about 80 kgs each.
