The German manufacturer had recently unveiled a slightly upgraded model of the Vento. This model was seen hitting the streets with alloy wheels and new pair of head lamps. The new upgrade will add some mechanistic modifications as well as an all-new front grille. The 2015 variant of the Vento has been provided with a new front grille, which strongly reminds of the Passat and will be placed slightly lower than the current model. The bonnet has been made flatter with two prominent dual-creases on either side. The combined effect of a larger grille, upgraded bonnet and new bumper gives the Vento a more premium touch. Additionally, the car is wider in comparison as well. The rear bumper gets a fair job done with increase in the width. A new horizontal bar with expected chrome finishing adds to the exuberance of the model. The chrome strip on the bumper makes a significant change in the appearance of the car.

      Volkswagen Vento facelift

It was reported earlier that Volkswagen Vento is expected to get a substantial facelift in the later part of the year. In the light of this event, the new updated Vento has been spied in Russia, where it is marketed as the Polo sedan.

The engines have been recalibrated as far as the mechanistic upgrades are concerned. More optimisations are expected from the new cars, especially the ones with the dual-clutch DSG automatics. However, industry experts believe that these aspects are not quite suitable for the Indian road conditions. This car, once launched, will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City and Hyundai Verna. It is expected that the model is slated to hit the showrooms by Diwali, this year.
