Passion XPro, the third new product from Hero MotoCorp in 2012, has hit the roads. The 110cc XPro was first showcased at the 2012 Delhi Auto Show and is now available for sale. The base model with drum brakes comes with a price tag of Rs. 46,800, whereas the disc brake variant with alloy wheels is priced at Rs. 51,800.
Prior to Passion XPro, the other two bikes to be launched by Hero this year include 125cc Ignitor and 110cc Maestro. Unlike XPro and Ignitor, which are commuter bikes, Maestro is a scooter.
Though Hero and Honda have parted ways, they still share the same technology and the Hero bikes including Passion XPro do not have any new technology from Hero. The XPro houses a 109.1cc air cooled SOHC engine capable of churning out a power as high as 8.6 bhp at 7500 rpm and a torque of 9.36Nm at 5500 rpm. The XPro has been provided with both self start as well as kick start and comes with 8 colour options.
The launch of Passion XPro comes at the peak of festive season and at a time when Hero has grabbed the number 1 position from Bajaj as the largest two wheeler manufacturer in the country. The all new XPro is likely to lure buyers and further strengthen Hero's ranking.
