Tata Motors has produced 10,000 units of the Nexon at their Ranjangaon facility in Maharashtra. This marks a new milestone for the carmaker.
The Tata Nexon was launched on 21 September, 2017, and since then, there has been a steady demand for the car. Tata had already begun production of the SUV ahead of its launch. They also started taking the bookings much before the launch. Still, there is a waiting period of 4-6 weeks depending on the variant and colour chosen.
The Nexon is an important product for Tata Motors and its demand has prompted the company to increase its production. It has marked the carmaker’s foray into the rapidly growing compact SUV segment in India. It is available in a set of powerful petrol and diesel powertrain options mated to a six-speed gearbox. AMT options will be added next year. This Vitara Brezza and EcoSport competitor is based on Tata's new 'Impact' design philosophy and boasts of many segment-first features too. It is priced between Rs 5.85 lakhs and Rs 9.45 lakhs.
