The most awaited ultra-cheap car from India, Tata Nano has landed in trouble. Shutters have been down at the Singur plant in West Bengal in India since last week. The company has experienced a bitter experience and even bigger setback in their attempts to produce world's cheapest car.

Ratan Tata had earlier announced that the company shall take the Nano project elsewhere in the world and it seems that the same shall come true. Several governments and their bureaucrats have paved up their efforts to woo Nano project to their own states including MP, Jharkhand and many more.

Although protests for the plant had been going on past two years but the same had increased in past 10 days. The fierce protests from the farmers have stopped the plant which is 90 percent complete and if the project had been running as per earlier schedule, Tata Motors would have ear-marked history in October this year by producing world's cheapest car.

The corporate world in India had also voiced its protests over the Nano delay including Mukesh Amabani (Reliance Industries Limited), Venu Srinivasan (TVS Motor Co.), and several others. This situation still remains hostile and as per Tata officials, requesting anonymity, any normalcy in the matter would be a highly optimistic idea.
