The 2012 Tata Safari Storme is anticipated to feature an entirely new guise, different than the current generation Safari SUV and the Indian auto giant has installed some attention grabbing additions to the car. Among the Safari Storme's array of catchy features, its huge honeycomb grille and 'power bulge' on the bonnet leaves the onlookers enchanted. The upcoming SUV flaunts projector headlamps, chrome-plated twin exhaust vents and a brand new tailgate among others.

The yet-to-be launched Safari Storme appears like a well thought move by the company towards consolidating its presence in the Indian SUV market. Its direct rival on the domestic turf is a product from the stables of Mahindra and Mahindra, the XUV500 SUV, which has outpaced all other vehicles in the segment, in terms of vehicle sales.

Tata Motors are expected to add an aggressive price tag on the Storme and the home grown player knows well that upcoming car's pricing will be a dominant factor in deciding its future on Indian soil. The Safari Storme's arrival is expected somewhere around Indian festival season, which can be a perfect setting to lure the SUV enthusiasts of the country towards Tata Motors' stores. Industry experts believe that the company will have to use a pragmatic approach in deciding the pricing, so that that its upcoming car is neither too pricey nor too flat.

The current SUV market scene seems inclined towards diesel fuelled UVs including compact SUVs because of the lesser priced subsidised diesel fuel. The 2012 Safari Storme is expected to take head on not only Mahindra XUV500 but also with other UVs, such as Mahindra Scorpio and Renault Duster among others.
