      Tata Motors GroupBoasts 119,799 Vehicles Global Wholesales

      In January 2012, 119,799 units’ global wholesales were registered by Tata Motors Group and its subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover. The sales figure is 21% more than the January 2011, which is quite impressive. For the fiscal, collective sales were 985,260 units, which is 13% more than same period of 2010-11.

      Global sales of Tata Hispano Carrocera, Tata, and Tata Daewoo commercial vehicles in January 2012 were 53,014 units, which is 15% more than the corresponding period of last year. With a growth of 17%, 478,339 units’ cumulative sales have been registered for the fiscal.

      Passenger vehicle segment of the company in January 2012 witnessed 26% hike in sales and touched the 66,785 figure.  With 10% increase, the cumulative sales of the company for the fiscal reached 506,921 units.

      In January 2012, the distribution offtake in India of Fiat cars and world wide sales of Tata passenger vehicles were 37,492 units, which is 14% more than the same period of 2011. 261,216 units’ cumulative sales have been registered for the fiscal

      Jaguar Land Rover registered global sales of at 29,293 vehicles in January 2012, which is 44% more than same period of 2011. 43% growth has been registered in the Land Rover sales in January 2012 touching 24,746 vehicles. For the same month, Jaguar sales were 4,547 units, which was 49% more than January 2011.

      For the fiscal, cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover registered 25% hike, touching sales figure of 245,705 vehicles.  With 34% hike in cumulative sales, Land Rover’s cumulative sales touched to 201,237 units. However, cumulative sales of Jaguar were not much impressive as it slashed 3% low to 44,468 vehicles.

      Tata Motors is the renowned automobile giant of India engaged in manufacturing different types of passenger and commercial vehicles.       In 2010-11, Rs. 1, 23,133 crores ($ 27 billion) was registered as the consolidated revenues of the company. In commercial vehicle segment, Tata Motors leads with over 6.5 million vehicles. In the passenger car segment, it has managed to maintain its ranking in the top three. Tata Motors is proud to be the third largest bus manufacturer and fourth largest truck manufacturer of the world. In Europe, Africa, South East Asia, South Asia, South America and the Middle East, the company markets its trucks and buses, and this speaks of its global reach.
