      Tata Motors global sales growth remain flat during April 2012

      Tata Motors, the largest vehicle maker in the Indian market, which operates in a number of foreign markets, has witnessed a flat sales growth in the global market during the month of April 2012. The company managed to sell a total of 87,377 units of its vehicles worldwide during this month as compared to the similar sales figures of the same month previous year.

      Jaguar Land Rover, the British subsidiary of Tata Motors, registered a sales surge of 29 percent in April over the same month previous year by selling 25,143 units during this month. Jaguar Cars, the luxury sedan maker registered a sales surge of 17 percent in last month at 3,603 units. On the other hand, the sales of luxury SUV maker Land Rover stood at 21,540 units during this month, about 32 per cent over the same month preceding year.

      The total passenger vehicle sales of the firm stood at 49,369 units in April, 2012, accounting for a sales surge of 7 percent over the same period last year. On the other hand, the commercial vehicle sales of the company stood at 38,008 units during this month, about 8 per centhigher over the sales of same month previous year.
