Tata Motors is leaving no stone unturned when it comes to their upcoming products. The carmaker has developed various smartphone apps for their upcoming Hexa SUV.
There are five apps currently planned for the Tata Hexa. These include Juke Car, Navimaps, Tata Smart Remote, Tata Smart Manual and Service Connect. The Juke Car app is like the one developed for the Tata Tiago. This app creates a virtual network through the phone's hotspot, allowing one or more users to share and play audio files on the car's player. Navimaps mirrors your phone's navigation on the car's screen to show you directions. This app is also offline navigation friendly.
Once the car's infotainment system is connected to your smartphone, the latter can also be used as a remote to control various aspects through Tata Smart Remote. For example, with this app you can change songs, channels on the radio and control the volume. In addition, one can change the cabin lighting as well from the several colours offered.
Gone are the days of using a printed booklet as a manual. Tata Smart Manual will act as an interactive digital manual that has all the necessary information about the car. It provides visual and even voice assistance through your smartphone. The carmaker also wants to bring the customer’s after-sales needs at their fingertips. One can utilise the service connect facility by scheduling a service appointment, tracking their expenses and even call for emergency assistance.
Tata Motors proved it with the Tiago that they are raising the bar and improving the designs of their upcoming cars. Now the upcoming Hexa lifestyle SUV will carry forward these traits while also getting many added features. The aforementioned smartphone integration with the in-car infotainment system will be a value addition to the upcoming car. Let's hope it elevates the owner's experience.
