The Indian arm of Scania, a globally renowned multinational Swedish auto maker of commercial vehicles, has launched its new heavy duty truck P 410 in the domestic market. The latest Scania truck is said to be adept at handling tough and demanding off-road driving conditions of India. The Swedish commercial vehicle maker has trimmed the new P 410 truck with several cutting edge and sophisticated features, which actually have been designed in order to maximise the operating time.
Coming to the exterior build of Scania P 410, the heavy duty truck comes with a new completely functional front design, besides having several top-of-the-line features to protect critical parts and components. The truck's thoughtful design also ensures lower maintenance requirements, thereby effectuating reduced repair costs and expenditure. Further, the Scania P 410 truck comes fitted with reliable diesel powered powertrain rated at 410 horse power. The dependable diesel motor of the truck entails it to deliver superior productivity and ensures greater operating time. Further, the 410 bhp diesel motor has been optimized for running during low engine revs and delivers superior fuel economy.
Expressing his views at launch and performance characteristics of the P 410 truck, Sivakumar V., Director of Sales, Scania Commercial Vehicles India, was quoted as saying, “Our understanding of the customer requirements especially in rough and rugged terrains, deep insights into the truck business and our expertise in innovative technology during product development – these have been the foundation of building a powerful truck such as the P 410. The trucks are powered by high performance engines which are best suited to optimum performance in Indian operating conditions.”
The Scania P 410 heavy duty truck is introduced in the Indian commercial vehicle market with a number of smart and sturdy improvements, such as the renowned Scania Opticruise option with off-road mode. Further, the world class product incorporates several sophisticated features like single piece solid steel bumper, strong tow pin that enables the vehicle to be towed out easily and a suspension system that has been designed to operate in hard mining conditions.
The Scania P 410 has a solid steel bumper body and black grille, which highlight the truck's incredible strength. The new P 410 is characterised by its modish front looks, besides having a sharp and even meaner presence on road. The sturdy built enables the truck to hang touch in heavy and intense pounding for maximum mobility and operating time.
Reportedly, Scania in association with Larsen & Toubro (L&T), the country's largest engineering and construction company, has planned to showcase its new P 410 truck at this year's edition of IMME conference to be held in Kolkata.
