      Suzuki Gixxer 150 due for launch on 10th August, 2014

      The 150cc segment in the country has been a hot favourite among the regular commuting class. Suzuki plans to bank on this demand and launch its very own Gixxer bike in the 150cc segment. Suzuki Gixxer 150 was caught earlier this year and generated quite a large amount of interest among the local population. The Japanese motorcycle brand has been struggling in India to gain a strong foothold in the Indian market, and with the entry of this new bike the company aims at gaining a good footing in local soils. As per a latest update, Suzuki Gixxer is due for launch on 10th August, 2014.

      The Gixxer bike has been stated to be powered by 155 cc four stroke, single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The bike’s engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and generates about 13.9PS of peak power with 13.4Nm of max torque. Gixxer's single cylinder engine features a single overhead cam that operates two valves. The tank features sharp and aggressive curves which flow towards the tail. Overall, the bike features an aggressive stance. Moreover, the Japanese auto maker boasts of 'Suzuki Eco Performance' system that is reliable and economical. Six-spoke alloys come as standard in this motorcycle. The rear wheels are blessed with monoshock suspension, whereas the front gets telescopic. As per sources, the bike is available in five shades.

      Major metropolitan cities have started taking bookings at Rs. 5000 for the upcoming bike and it is anticipated that bike may be priced somewhere about Rs. 80,000. The attractive price tag with interesting features is bound to make this bike’s presence felt in the local market.
