October has been a busy month for our spy sleuths and their efforts have bore fruit in the form of various German cars spotted doing the rounds across Europe. The spied cars will make their way to India over the next two years. There are some familiar faces and some that will be new to the Indian market when they are launched here. Here then is our list of top cars spotted testing in October.

      Mercedes-Benz GLS
It’s the next generation for the German automaker’s flagship SUV and this time around too it makes use of the same formula but with some added touches to bring the car into the next generation. It will get a new platform, additional AMG variants as well as a Maybach model to take on the likes of the Bentley Bentayga and Range Rover family of vehicles.

      Mercedes-Benz B-Class
The B-Class has been one of those models that looked like it had great potential when it arrived but with a sudden shift of interest to SUVs, it has been struggling. However, that has not deterred Mercedes from taking it into the next generation and the result of that determination is the camouflaged car in front of us. It is expected to retain the same design and engine options as the outgoing model but sufficient tweaks to make it a next generation car.

      BMW 7 Series
BMW might have just brought out a new 7 Series globally but given how development cycles are, it looks like they are already testing a mid-life update for their flagship sedan. It is not expected to change underneath but rather, it will get mid-life updates for the feature list, cabin and some exterior styling details too.

      Mercedes-Benz A-Class and A-Class sedan
The B-Class might be struggling but its hatchback sibling is doing quite well and will be the ambassador for the lower end of the Mercedes spectrum. There will be a new generation car and with it a new generation sedan too. This sedan will take the place of the CLA and the latter will be to the A-Class what the CLS is to the C-Class.

      BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer
The MPV body style has been facing some tough times as more and more people are switching to SUVs. The Mercedes-Benz B-Class has struggled and so has the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer. It was launched in 2014 and amid much hype touted to be a volumes model for the German automaker. To give the car another chance, BMW is updated to the MINI MPV with some new external bits. The cabin too is expected to get an update.
