In order to lure a large number of buyers in festive season, Skoda India has come up with a new strategy. The auto maker has decided to introduce new variants in its Rapid sedan's line-up, Ambition Plus and Active Plus. This move will allow the buyers to choose their favourite Rapid from a handful of options present in the Indian auto industry. These Plus edition models will boast of additional features, which will add to the convenience of its passengers.
The attempt of Skoda India is not new as several auto makers are following the similar trend by adding new vehicles in their existing model line-up with additional features and a refreshed look. These moves grab the attention of masses around festive season, which is considered to be a good time to invest in new products in India. Skoda's parent company, Volkswagen Group, was also seen joining the league as the auto maker recently introduced the fully loaded models of its Polo hatchback and Vento sedan.
Similarly, Fiat India also introduced the Absolute edition models of its Linea sedan and Punto hatchback in festive season this year. Besides introducing the refreshed avatars, the car makers are also betting high on their new launches. Auto makers like Mahindra and Mahindra, Nissan, Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki seems set to route in their new models in the Indian auto industry before the end of festive season, which will surely pull the masses across their stand.
