Skoda India is putting an end to the teasers and bringing in the real full-fledged picture today with the revelation of its Skoda Laura RS. The already well known for its performance iteration of Skoda, The Laura been souped up further with insane performance tweaks. Skoda justifies the bicoloured “vRS” badging completely with all the upgrades the Laura is equipped with. It will be officially launched today. However, the confirmation about the exact time of revelation is very tentative in nature. Skoda Auto India has revealed certain standard accessories of the new performance sedan which include 2 airbags, fog lamps, three rear seat belts, ABS, EBD and ESP technology, Disc brakes with inner cooling, with single/piston floating caliper, tachometer and headlamp washers. In addition to this, it also boasts of new exteriors, sporty interiors, LED lights, spoiler at the back. Skoda Laura RS, which still has a few hours under cover, has clearly shown its aggressive intentions of taking on its counterparts like Hyundai Sonata Transform, Maruti Kizashi and Volkswagen Jetta head on.
The 1798cc turbocharged, 4-cylinder in-line, mill empowering this performance sedan is capable of churning out power of 160bhp @ 4500 rpm. It`s equipped with a 6-speed fully synchronized transmission. The torque offered is also a mighty 250Nm.
