      Seven New Models from Nissan in India

      Nissan Motor India intends to launch seven new models in India by 2012 of which five will be made in India and two will be imported as completely built unit. According to company's Managing Director and CEO Kiminobu Tokuyama, Nissan is planning to capture more than 5 percent market share in India by going forward and also up its dealership network from present five to 55 by 2012. It currently has only one percent market share in the country.

      Nissan recently launched upgraded models of Teana and X-trail in Mumbai. The company has re-launched the cars with new engines and a revised chassis and interiors. The cars are priced at Rs21- 25 lakh. The new model coming up from the Nissan stable is Micra / March which is slated for a launch by early May next year.
