Renault Fluence, the long awaited premium sedan in the Indian market is slated to be rolled-out in the country on 23rd May, 2011. The Renault Fluence model has been hailed as a game changer in the Indian market as it is expected to take the competition in the C-segment of cars one step ahead.
The Renault Fluence will be the first ever only-Renault car in the Indian market as previously the company was selling its Logan sedan in partnership with Mahindra & Mahindra. The Fluence model will be launched in the price segment of Rs 11 to 13 lakh where it will be competing with the likes of Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruze, Toyota Corolla Altis and Skoda Laura.
The petrol version of the prospective Fluence sedan is expected to come powered by a 2.0 liter petrol engine which will be generating a peak power of 137 bhp. On the other hand, the diesel version of the car will be carrying a 1.5L engine which is capable of delivering a peak power of 112 bhp. The car will come blessed with an advanced six-speed transmission. Moreover, the Fluence sedan is claimed to offer a considerably high mileage on the Indian roads.
