Polestar powertrain optimisation now available on the new Volvo XC60

The new Volvo XC60 is now available with the latest-generation powertrain optimisation from Polestar. Polestar optimisation option in the UK is available in four of XC60 models namely - the T8, T5, D5 and the D4.  The new Volvo XC60 T8 generates 415bhp of power, similar to the optimised XC90 T8. The D5 variant gets a mild upgrade to the tune of 237bhp and 500Nm of torque as against the older power output of 232bhp and 480Nm of torque.     

The company claims that the Polestar optimization has reportedly helped in returning better fuel economy, class-leading emission levels and pure electric range of up to 45 kilometres, all this without affecting the company’s warranty. Polestar and its motorsport partner Cyan Racing’s partnership which spans over two decades has helped transform the engine performance, accelerator response, off-accelerator response, and gearshift speed and hold, on the new XC60. The company claims that the fresh engine enhancements offer greater power and torque for everyday driving.
