As the camouflage seems to be decreasing with every sighting, an imminent launch in the coming months seems likely. Though this vehicle will be available with an all-wheel-drive setup straight off the bat, it remains to be seen if Opel will offer the cheaper front-wheel-drive model at a later time. What visually sets this model apart from the Sports Tourer is the restyled alloy wheels, and extra body cladding on all wheel arches and bumpers. But the biggest differentiator will be the bumped-up ground clearance which is obvious in the pictures.

Opel is expected to make the Opel Insignia Country Tourer package more attractive than the earlier model through the upgraded interiors, raised ride height, enhanced grip from the AWD system (with torque vectoring), and the 520-litres of luggage space that swells to 1,638-litres on folding the last row of seats. While the Insignia Country Tourer will rival cars like the Volkswagen Passat Alltrack, sources suggest that Opel’s new car could hit the road soon after a possible unveil at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Stay tuned for more news on Opel’s plan for the upcoming Insignia Country Tourer.
