Nissan, yesterday, unveiled the Sway concept at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show 2015. The hatchback previews the next-generation Micra hatchback, which is likely to be launched in 2016-17.

According to Nissan, the new Sway concept features a new design that is specifically created to suit European markets. Painted in "blue dawn grey", the Sway measures 4010mm in length, 1780mm in width, 1385mm in height and has a large wheelbase of 2570mm. The front fascia of the Sway concept has Nissan's family V-motion grille, flanked by sharp looking LED headlights. Its bumper features LED daytime running lights, while the hood is more sculpted. At the rear, the hatch has boomerang LED taillights and trapezoidal exhaust pipes. The concept also features a floating roof and rear-hinged back doors.

Inside the cabin, the hatchback's layout is inspired by the IDx concepts with a clean design and an uncluttered layout. It has lightweight seat that features an exposed aluminum structure and covered in suede-like fabric. The fabric is enhanced in a pearl-effect material and special stitching. The Sway concept previews the next generation Micra, which is scheduled to go on sale next year. The hatchback will be produced in France at a Renault factory near Paris.
