This festive season, Nissan India was able to rack up domestic sales of 6,108 units in October. When compared to October last year, the figure was 3,246 units, recording a growth of 88 per cent.

The Datsun Redigo was the major contributor to the sales for the Nissan. Recently Datsun announced the extension of the production run of their limited edition Redigo Sport owing to the demand after the first allotted 1000 units were sold out.

Commenting on the sales results, Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Our solid performance and overall growth of 88 per cent in October has been possible with the continued robust performance of the Datsun Redigo and tremendous response to the recently launched Redigo Sport version.”

Between April and October of the current financial year, the Japanese carmaker recorded an overall growth of 54 per cent selling 35,147 units as compared to 22,180 units sold in the same period last year.
