The seven-seater WagonR would come under 4-metre mark and will rival against the upcoming Datsun Go+ MPV. The vehicle would be benefited with excise duty cut offered on sub-4 metre cars and engine with less than 1500cc displacement. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 4 to 6 lakh. Moreover, the next WagonR is also speculated to get automated manual transmission variant.

Currently, the company sells second generation Maruti WagonR in petrol, CNG and LPG fuel options. It is propelled by a 1.0-litre k Series engine that is capable of producing a top power output of 67bhp and 90Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.
