For the first time in India, luxury cars in the country will have in-flight entertainment technology so that passengers can enjoy entertainment system in their cars just like travelling in flight. A Pune based firm, DSK Digital Technologies, has partnered with Taiwan based company, Funtoro, which will be providing in-flight entertainment kits to DSK Digital.
Funtoro will provide Vehicle Media on Demand (VMOD) solutions. These are integrated solutions that include car audio/video, car safety and security, mobile office and telematics. These integrated kits will be available in three variants, FunStar Standard, FunStar Pro, FunStar SRV. The basic model FunStar standard will cost around Rs. 80000 which would include a black box and two monitors. On the other hand, FunStar Pro will have 12 monitors and FunStar SRV will be ideal for buses or vans.
Funtoro is an affiliate of Micro Star International which is engaged in designing, manufacturing and marketing of high-end Entertainment and Telematics Systems in vehicles. Micro Star Interntaional or MSI is into making notebooks, consumer electronic products, multimedia, etc.
