The Indian auto giant Tata Motors is launching a new face-lifted version of popular small car Nano in the Indian market. The new face-lifted Nano will be launched in a bid to boost the falling sales of this cheapest car in country. The new Nano facelift will not only be delivering more power as compared to its predecessor but will also carry a hike in the fuel economy. And to surprise of many, the price of the new Nano will be kept same as before, means no price hike for the additional power, mileage and a number of new features.

In a statement issued recently, the company said, "Making the Tata Nano even more desirable, the car's 624cc engine has been made more powerful, delivering an impressive 38 PS of power (earlier 35 PS) and 51 Nm of torque (earlier 48 Nm)." The statement adds, "The high fuel efficiency, with a low kerb weight of 600 kg, ensures that the Tata Nano at 92.7 gram per km has the lowest CO2 (carbon dioxide) emission among cars in India".

The new Nano facelift will be offered with an Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) certified mileage of 25.4 km per litre. The earlier fuel economy and Co2 emission level of the car was 23.6 km per litre and 101 gram in every km, respectively.
