More details have emerged on 2015 Skoda Fabia hatchback that is due for release shortly. It has been learnt that the hatchback will get a front grille sharing cues from the new Octavia. The top-view of the bonnet indicates an L-shape crease emphasizing on the design of the hatch. Among other changes made to the vehicle include an increased width by 9 mm and a decreased body weight by 65 kg. Skoda will roll out new Fabia in both diesel and petrol engine options. Powering petrol and diesel variants will be three and four cylinder motors.
Speculations suggest that a 1.0 litre MPI engine and a 1.4 litre TDI powertrain could be employed in the hatchback. 2015 Skoda Fabia is expected to be 17 per cent more efficient that its predecessor. New Fabia is slated to be revealed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in the month of October. However, the production will commence ahead of its public display effective end of this month at the company’s manufacturing unit located in Mlada Boleslav, Czesh Republic.
India launch doesn't seem imminent any time soon since Skoda is focusing on Rapid and cars positioned above it in domestic market. For now the company is preparing to launch new Fabia hatchback in Europe by year end.
