Jaguar Land Rover, the completely owned division of Tata Motors, introduced its new showroom in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Reportedly, this new showroom happens to be the largest dealership in region, which offers the entire Indian product portfolio of both Jaguar and Land Rover. Situated at Oddar Palayam, Ondipudur, this unit sprawls around an area of 50,000 square feet and can easily showcase 12 cars at a time.
Expressing his delight at the launch ceremony, the Vice President of Jaguar Land Rover India, Rohit Suri was quoted as saying, “Jaguar Land Rover has a strong presence in the southern market with showrooms in key markets like Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi and Hyderabad. The opening of a new showroom in Coimbatore reflects our commitment to offer our customers a supreme level of sales experience and after sales service.”
The new dealership of Jaguar Land Rover also features an area of around 10,500 square feet, which has been specially reserved for the workshop. It includes 14 bays for servicing of cars and also has a unit for body painting. Interestingly, the new Coimbatore dealership of Jaguar Land Rover has been kept parallel to its international standards. Interested buyers can select a model of his want from any of the brands. The Indian portfolio of Land Rover includes Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, Discovery 4 and Freelander 2. The Indian line-up of Jaguar include models like XF, XJ, F-Type and the XKR. It must be noted that Jaguar Land Rover has inaugurated 19 such showrooms in the country since 2009 in cities like Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Cuttack, Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kochi, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Pune.
With the inauguration of such dealerships, it is fairly evident that the demand for luxury cars is growing in India. Sources have revealed that Coimbatore has around 50 Jaguar Land Rover cars in the market and the enquiries from its areas were quite high from the last couple of years. It must be noted that Tamil Nadu is among the top three auto markets for Jaguar Land Rover in India. The auto maker already has dealerships in Chennai and Coimbatore, and is looking forward to open more dealerships in the near future.
