Land Rover unveiled the new Range Rover Sport earlier this week, which also marked the model’s global debut. The company has discreetly announced the prices of the SUV on its official website, which start at Rs 1.64 crore (ex-showroom).
The MY23 Range Rover Sport will be available at local dealerships from November 2022, and will be offered in four variants including Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE, Autobiography, and First Edition. The company listed the diesel as well as the petrol versions, although the prices of the latter are yet to be revealed.
The India-spec new-gen Range Rover Sport will be powered by 3.0-litre, six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. The former will be paired to a battery pack and will be available as a PHEV version, with a triple-digit EV-only range. The diesel motor will produce 345bhp and 700Nm of torque, while the petrol motor will produce 434bhp and 620Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard across the range.
Exterior highlights of the new Range Rover Sport include new digital LED headlamps, new front and rear bumpers, new LED tail lights separated by a large, gloss black strip, and a new set of alloy wheels. The wheelbase of the model has increased by 75mm too.
Inside, the MY2023 will come equipped with a 13.1-inch curved screen Pivi Pro infotainment system, a 13.7-inch fully-digital instrument console, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, Meridian-sourced 3D sound system, HUD, illuminated seat-buckles, and a surround-view camera system.
