Further reinforcing the launch of new Swift inching closer is a teaser image revealed by MSI on its social media platform. From the teaser image it could be inferred that a sporty variant of Swift could be introduced as the stress on S word is clearly visible. Yet another clue that foreshadows at induction of Sporty variant is mention of “power packed” machine in the teaser. To offer more punch to the ride quality of the vehicle, MSI could revise the engine for enhanced power and torque output. Under the bonnet, a 1.4 litre K-Series petrol engine capable of generating top power of 94 Bhp and peak torque of 130 Nm will be powering the petrol variants. Diesel range will get Fiat sourced 1.3 litre Multi-jet diesel engine, however the catch is that this time MSI could replace the 75 Bhp variant with the more powerful 90 Bhp/200 Nm version. On the transmission options a five-speed manual gearbox will continue to be on offer, besides this a four-speed automatic variant is also likely to be rolled out. However, speculations will be pricked on the day of launch
