      New generation BMW 3 Series Spotted

      The Germany based leading luxury car maker BMW is preparing to launch a next-generation 3-series sedan in the world market very soon. The car was recently sneak peeked in winter testing, fully covered in camouflaging. It is the first time that the next-generation BMW has been seen in winter testing. The car is slated to be launched in the global market in September this year at Frankfurt, followed by its expected launch in India by the end of year 2011.

      The car is likely to be sporting a 1.5L, three-cylinder diesel engine that is capable of churning-out a peak power of 150 bhp. It will come blessed with BMW’s Efficient Dynamics technology and is expected to produce lesser emission along with higher fuel economy.

      The next generation 3-Series will be carrying a roomier interior, thanks to its enhanced dimensions which will be closer to the size of existing BMW 5 series model. As per the industry reports, the company also plans to launch a crossover – 3-series GT – after a few month of the launch of its sedan version.

      At present, the BMW 3 series model is available in the price range of Rs 23,95,000 - Rs 33,40,000 (New Delhi Ex-showroom), in the Indian market.
