Fiat is all set to roll out yet another tweaked version of its existing car, Punto which is expected to be available for sale in India by third quarter this year. Fiat will be launching two more cars this year which includes Avventura crossover and Abarth500 which the company plans to assemble locally.
More details have been revealed about the upgraded Punto hatchback, sources reveal that theNew Punto will continue to be equipped with the same set of petrol and diesel engine. The petrol version will be available in two engine options- a 1.2 litre and a 1.4 litre motor. Diesel powered Punto will be housed with the 1.3 litre diesel powertrain.
New Punto is likely to boast a new front with reworked bumpers, fog lamps and head lights. Side profile of the hatchback will remain unchanged, new alloy wheels will be seen rendering an upmarket look to the new Punto. Rear bumper is also speculated to get new reflectors along with restyled stop-lights.
Interiors are also likely to receive several updates including new upholstery seats and revivified dashboard. A new instrument cluster and circular air vents are also likely to be proffered in the new Fiat Punto.
Fiat is working aggressively towards making its presence felt in the Indian auto market. With more products coming into the domestic market soon, Fiat eyes at rebuilding its rapport with the customers in India which faded away with time.
