One of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, Bajaj Auto, launched a new upgraded model 220cc model of Bajaj Avenger in India. The new model is priced at Rs. 69,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new model comes with increased capacity and also impressive performance statistics like more power of 19.03 Ps and torque of 17.5 Nm. It also boasts of dual density seating, battery charge level indicator on the tank, maintenance free battery to deliver better driving comfort and ease of cruising.
The model also features the patented DTS-i technology from Bajaj Auto. “The journey that our R&D team started few years ago continues its forward march and today we have further enhanced the pleasure of riding a genuine cruiser bike,” said company official.
The existing model of Bajaj Avenger is powered by 200cc engine and the company research showed that users will welcome an upgraded and more powerful engine in the market. "Our internal research suggested that bikers are looking for more power. Yes while they ‘Felt like God’ while riding the Avenger, yet they preferred more power,” said Milind Bade, GM Marketing, Bajaj Auto.
