      National HRD Network blows whistle on acts of industrial violence

      The National Human Resource Development (HRD) Network has criticised the increasing acts of industrial violence throughout the country. National HRD network is an organisation which represents the professionals of 'Human Resource' in India. The recent act of senseless violence happened at the Manesar plant of the India’s leading car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, has irked the HRD network. A meeting of the Board of the National HRD Network was called at Chennai on July 21st 2012, wherein the officials passed a 'Resolution' against this strife, which claimed the life of an individual and left several other top brass company’s officials with injuries. The resolution demanded the authorities to scrutinize the matter and give harsh punishment to those found guilty of an act with such great magnitude.

      “At NHRD Network we strongly condemn such deplorable acts of violence. Infact we are extremely concerned at the increasing frequency of such incidents in the recent past, be it at Pricol, or Madras Cements or Regency Ceramics or Honda Motorcycle. Such incidents would have a severe impact on the brand equity of India, and also impact long-term competitiveness of Indian industry”, said Prince Augustin, National Secretary, NHRD Network.

The National HRD Network thrives to manage human resources by incorporating professional decorum and performs several practices to boost up industrial harmony. Such efforts lead to a healthy atmosphere of cooperation and understanding, which consequently helps an organisation to achieve its goals. The National HRD aims to resolve all issues related to the human resources in a peaceful manner. The Board said that act of violence in India industries may demean the country’s image in the global arena and can also negatively impact on the offshore investments in the country.
