Ratan Tata today announced that Tata Motors is making every possible effort to launch its Nano model as per the schedule. However, he did not clarify if the model will be available during the festive season or not. He also did not confirm if Nano will roll out of its Singur plant or elsewhere. He commented, "This needs to be asked to others and not to me.”
We plan to launch Nano as per our schedule. We will try and do everything possible to ensure that Nano is launched on time,” Mr. Tata said at the annual convention of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers here on Thursday.
The 48th Annual SIAM convention started today at The Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi which was a completely star studded affair with who's who of automobile industry marking their presence at the convention.
Ratan Tata also said that the demand for small cars is growing in the country and NAno is likely to become the first family car for several families across the world. He also said that the overseas model shall have more accessories while Indian market shall have more basic models due to price conscious customers.
