Japanese automaker, Mitsubishi Motors is all set to launch the much-awaited Pajero Sport Automatic variant in the Indian car market tomorrow. The company has already started taking pre-orders for the automatic SUV, and dealers are offering test drives of the car to its prospective buyers.
The Pajero Sport SUV is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 178PS and a peak torque of 400Nm. The automatic vehicle also gets the same engine spec. Power is transmitted to rear wheels of the SUV via a five-speed automatic transmission gearbox.
The interiors of the Pajero AT are expected to remain unchanged, except the new gearbox and seat upholstery. The Pajero AT is likely to be cheaper than the standard 4x4 manual version. It is likely to cost around Rs. 22 lakh, which makes it cheaper by Rs. 1.5 lakh than the manual variant. It will take on the likes of the Toyota Fortuner AT and SsangYong Rexton RXZ AT.
Mitsubishi Motors is aiming to increase its sales in the Indian car market. With Pajero AT, the company is offering more options to Pajero buyers in the market. The company recently introduced a limited edition variant of the SUV, which is offered with a dual-tone exterior paint-finish. This variant is offered in two exterior shades- - Flame Red with White and Lemon Yellow with White.
