Mitsubishi has recently announced the Lancer Evolution X Final concept. The company will soon phase out the iconic Lancer from its global lineup. However, the company is working on an all-new sedan, which is likely to come as a replacement for the slow selling Lancer.

Recently, Mitsubishi has signed an agreement with Nissan-Renault Alliance for the use of platforms and technology. The Japanese maker is reportedly working on a new mid-sized sedan and a small SUV. Both models are expected to use Renault/Nissan car platform. The company is yet to identify the car on which the new C-segment sedan will be based. The Lancer replacement will be a global sedan, and is might also make its entry into the Indian car market. That said, the company hasn't yet officially said anything on its Indian arrival.

If media reports are to be believed, Mitsubishi is planning to develop a mid-sized saloon which is rumoured to be based on the Renault Latitude (Samsung SM5). This product will be launched in the United States and Canadian markets. Mitsubishi India is planning to launch two new SUVs in the Indian car market this year. One of the SUVs will be positioned below the Pajero Sport and other will sit above. Adding to it, the Japanese maker is also aiming to launch Mirage hatchback and Attrage compact sedan in India in 2016.
