      Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol basks in the attention of BMW enthusiasts

      The latest instalment of Mission Impossible starring Tom Cruise is doing quite well at the box office. It has all the factors to woo audiences, Tom Cruise himself being one of them. Other factors include high-packed action, thrilling scenes, exotic locations and most importantly the latest BMW models featured in the flick.

      The lead actor gives an excellent performance in the movie and manages to perform death-defying stunts without breaking a sweat. However, many consider that the BMW cars showcased in the film attracted many viewers to the theatres. BMW has provided most of the featured cars in MI4 and used the movie to exhibit its i8 diesel hybrid version in style. Another model featured in MI4 is the working electric version of the BMW i3 concept car. However, the models are not available in the market yet; these will most likely roll out in 2013 and 2014.

      All these vehicles attract audiences with futuristic looks and aerodynamic designs. The movie gives

      a ‘larger than life’ image of the BMW models capable of performing extraordinary stunts. These vehicles are either electric-hybrid or purpose-built electric made of carbon-fibre. The BMW Vision EfficientDynamics can also be seen cruising around in the movie. This model has become extremely popular for its attractive looks.

      At the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2011, the models featured in MI4 were officially unveiled by the President of BMW, Ludwig Willisch. The female lead of the movie, Paula Patton, was present alongside the chief of the German automotive giant as he presented the cars to the world amidst cheers. Both these cars were well received at the auto exposition and the trend seems to have continued with the movie too.

      Hence, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol has not only done well because of its star cast but also due to the presence of latest BMW models.
